Brown + Co, founded in 2007, is a Miami-based creative collaborative comprised of public relations and brand strategists, event designers, and social media mavens. Our mission is simple: to build business brands into recognized names by uncovering what makes them unique, and sharing their story with influential media and consumers.
OUR FOUNDER
Julia C. Brown is an influential voice in the communications industry where she has worked for over fifteen years, getting her start in television news at NBC 6/WTVJ.
As Principal of Brown+Company, Julia specializes in driving positive consumer interest and demand for her clients products and services through a combination of media placements, partnerships, and custom events or programs, depending on the client's need.
Prior to forming Brown+Company, Julia served as Regional Director for Gen Art, a national incubator of talent and trends in fashion, art, music and film. There Julia and her team produced hundreds of major market events including fashion shows, shopping events, concerts, film premieres, and art exhibits. Julia developed and managed strategic marketing campaigns for national brands such as Sony Ericsson, Acura, Smartwater, Northwestern Mutual, Moet & Chandon, Canon, Emporio Armani, JetBlue, and Heineken, among others.
Prior to Gen Art, Julia worked as an Account Director at Kreps DeMaria Public Relations and Marketing, managing leading law, real estate, and retail clients.
Julia is a Board Member of The University of Michigan Alumni Association, a youth mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater America, and and a recent graduate of the GMCC's Leadership Miami program. A Midwestern native, Julia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and is fluent in Spanish.
